Bangladesh's factories
bid it down.
TexBid runs a live reverse auction across audited garment factories. You set the specification, the compliance floor and the deadline. They compete on price. No agent sits in the middle taking a cut you never see.

Industry figures for Bangladesh's ready-made garment sector. They describe the country, not TexBid — the capacity is already there. What follows is how you reach it without getting hurt.
Where orders go wrong
Six ways sourcing from Bangladesh fails. Each one has a lock on it.
None of these are hypothetical — they are the reasons buyers walk away from the region. The platform is built around closing them, one at a time.
You think you hired a factory. You hired an agent.
What stops it
Every seller clears verification before they can bid: trade licence, business identification number, a live walkthrough of the floor, and a third-party audit report on file. Trading houses without production cannot list.
The quote was $2.90. The invoice was $3.40.
What stops it
Bids arrive itemised — fabric, trims, hangtags, care labels, polybags, cartons, testing. The incoterm is fixed when you write the RFQ, so FOB, CIF and DDP quotes are never compared against each other by accident.
The sample was beautiful. The bulk was not.
What stops it
Request samples inside the RFQ and approve them in the platform. The size set and the top-of-production sample both sign off before bulk starts, and the AQL level you set is written into the contract rather than agreed over email.
Shipment slips, and you hear about it in week nine.
What stops it
Factories declare line capacity and existing bookings before they are allowed to bid. Production milestones update against the calendar you agreed, so Eid, Bangla New Year and Chittagong port congestion show up as dates on a timeline instead of an apology.
The certificate was real. It expired in 2022.
What stops it
Compliance documents are stored with issuer, certificate number and expiry date, and are checked at verification. Set a floor on the RFQ — WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS, ISO 9001 — and factories that fall short never reach your shortlist.
Someone has to pay first, and neither side wants to.
What stops it
Funds sit in platform-managed escrow against agreed milestones. The factory can see the money is committed and starts cutting; you keep it until inspection passes. Money moves on evidence, not on trust.
From spec to shipment
How your first order runs.
-
01
Write the specification
Fabric, gsm, colours, size ratio, quantity, incoterm, certification floor, sample requirement, deadline. The builder holds the fields buyers usually forget until it is too late to change them.
-
02
Verified factories bid
Identities stay sealed while the auction runs. You compare price, declared capacity, lead time and live certifications side by side — not four PDFs and an inbox.
-
03
Approve the sample, sign the contract
Award the order, approve the pre-production and top-of-production samples, then generate the contract as a PDF with the agreed terms and AQL already in it.
-
04
Track production, release on inspection
Cutting, sewing, finishing and shipment each report against the timeline. Escrow releases as milestones clear inspection, and the order closes with a review on record.
Describe the garment.
Let the factories argue about the price.
Writing an RFQ takes about ten minutes. You will know what your order is worth before you commit to anyone.
